November 7 - Chapter 8

The Chinese made achieved a lot of thing in Astronomy including observing sunspots, supernovae and constructing elaborate star maps and astronomical devices.  China was always a big player even in in the earlier times, it cast a long shadow. Apart from this, china was always a very urbanized country. For example, over 100,000 cities all through China, homed more than a million people. China also had numerous inventions like gun power, that would be widely used. Women also lived a more restricted life than other places. China also faced numerous enemies, which persuaded the Chinese emperor to negotiate arrangements with other nomadic states. China and Korea worked together and Korea became a part of the expanding world of Chinese culture. Vietnam was regarded by the Chinese as “southern barbarians.” Chinese culture was also favored in Japan and Chinese culture positive affected Japanese with many aspects. China was home of many technological advancements. Religion was also big with Buddhism making into ways into China via the Silk Road.

The fifteenth century was an important time in history because there were numerous organizations like  gathering and hunting societies. Australian paleolithic societies lacked agriculture and remained traditional, but still left an impact, and North American coast paleolithic societies were more advanced, economically and politically. Civilizations were more advanced and larger during this time. In China, then Ming Dynasty China established numerous great things like the civil service examination system, government, it went on large expeditions.  China was a big player at the time. September 18 Early Civilizations

Communities were turning into civilizations. Some rose, fell, revived and changed. There were seven first civilizations. The first civilization emerged around 3500 BCE in southern Mesopotamia. There were different types, for example, the Norte Chico was way different with their small cities and their less evidence of economic specialization. Civilizations in other places were very different from one another. For example, Egypt and China experienced an impressive continuity of identity as a distinct civilization from its early years.
